The season ending Championships at the O2 in London begins today with Novak Djokovic taking on Kei Nishikori this afternoon and then Roger Federer takes on Tomas Berdych tonight.

Tomorrow Andy Murray starts his campaign against David Ferrer at 2pm and then Stan Wawrinka plays Rafael Nadal at 8pm.

Should be a good week of tennis.

Tennis is so predictable at times. The top 3 or 4 are so far ahead of everyone else.

I think having three or four contenders for the title is quite a good thing!

It could be a lot worse.

I know what you're saying but they could cut to the chase and go straight in at semi final stage for most tournaments.

The big 4 in world tennis is no longer. Nole is playing at a level possibly never seen in the sport and has to be considered in a class of his own now.

Good win for Andy Murray earlier today, beating David Ferrer 6-4 6-4.

Rafael Nadal has just beaten Stan Wawrinka 6-3 6-2.

Roger Federer is unbelievable. Just watched his win over Djokovic from last night and he was superb.

Guys a freak of nature to still be turning out performances like that at his age.

Brilliant result for Federer last night. It makes you wonder if he'll ever lose it! To be playing at that level at the age of 34 is quite incredible.

Andy Murray's currently getting humped by Rafael Nadal. It will make his last group match against Stan Wawrinka quite interesting.

Jamie Murray and John Peers have just lost to Bob and Mike Bryan, despite having several match points.

The Bryans won 6-7 7-6 16-14 and Murray and Peers are now eliminated and have also played their last match together since Murray will play with Bruno Soares next year.

In the singles, Roger Federer made it three wins from three against Kei Nishikori earlier although he did lose the second set after being 4-1 ahead.

Novak Djokovic will play Tomas Berdych shortly and Djokovic will join Federer in the semis if he manages to win a set tonight.

Djokovic wins the set he needs and will now play Rafael Nadal in the semis on Saturday afternoon.

No-one else watching this?

Murray on just now against Wawrinka in a straight knockout to see who plays Federer tomorrow in the semis.

Currently 5-5 in the first set after Wawrinka served for it at 5-3.

Not looking good for Murray now as Wawrinka breaks him in the first game of the second set.

Wawrinka wins 7-6 6-4.

Terrible match from Murray.

Far too many errors throughout the match.

Semi final line up;

Novak Djokovic v Rafael Nadal
Roger Federer v Stan Wawrinka

Novak Djokovic will play Roger Federer in tomorrow's final after Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal 6-3 6-3 and Federer beat Stan Wawrinka 7-5 6-3.

It's a repeat of last year's final that never was, when Federer pulled out at the last minute through exhaustion.

Hopefully there's no repeat tomorrow.

Perhaps but it is the final that most people would have wanted at the start of the tournament and it should hopefully be a good match.

Doubt it. Federers not really got it in him to be Djokivic has he?

Has he ever beat him in a major?

Fed beat Novak the other day in the group stage in straight sets.

Still fancy Djokovic to prevail today though.

Yeah, us open

Did he - I didn't realise/remember that.

Boy at my work (big tennis fan) was ranting about Federer a while back saying he racked up the majority of his majors before Nadal and Djokovic came on the scene. I think he beat Nadal a couple of times but only at Wimbledon until Nadal sussed that surface out.

Yeah. To be fair, your mate actually has a point. If Novak was on the scene earlier, Fed's record would not have been so high.

:agree: 2007 US Open.

Although Djokovic did win tonight, and won quite easily, Federer's record against Djokovic in Grand Slam finals didn't matter too much in relation to tonight's match since it was just a best of three set match tonight.

Federer also beat Federer in the following Grand Slam matches as well;

2012 Wimbledon - semi final
2011 French Open - semi final
2009 US Open - semi final
2008 US Open - semi final
2007 Australian Open - last 16
