Well it seems, neither did rangers!!! They carry on regardless. Scottish football is a joke!

I think they are different. I'd guess Vlad's plan was money laundering tax evasion etc using a 2 nation base. Minty Moonbeans get to tax evasion and overborrowing thanks to Celtic's rebirth under Fergus and his personal hubris.

Same result, different journey. You cannot get precedent to penalise one based on the circumstances of the other because they are different. I'm not suggesting that both should be deid and still await further punishment, I'm just saying that the circumstances that got them there are not the same.

No wonder our leagues are a laughing stock. We will never move on from this, unless we get rid of the bigot brothers. I honestly think without them scottish football would flourish in a decade or so. Hibs, hearts, aberdeen, saints all challenging for the league. Competition breeds interest.
Cant get much worse.(hopefully!!!!!)

I agree but no one else wants them, they're not even welcome here.

The Rangers and Hearts situation is different, but there are many different ways of cheating.

In the end though if teams over spend with money they don't have and it ends up at a basic level where local suppliers get 10p rather than a pound then that is what teams like Dundee and Cowan's team Motherwell did as well. So if you pass the hit on to someone else, then you are all the same.

They are different in some ways but ultimately the same objective was in mind.

Many Scottish clubs tried to "speculate to accumulate" over the last two or three decades and Hearts themselves had over £25m debt when Vladimir Romanov took over. However, it is the sheer scale of Hearts' overspending in the Romanov years that is noticeable. It is rarely reported that between 2006-2013 Hearts spent at least £50m more than their income! That is around £7m per season more than their turnover - almost double their income and undoubtedly overspending "on stilts" as Tom English might say.

Including debt for equity swaps and debt forgiveness by a company that went bust itself Hearts effectively stiffed creditors for over £60m. That's over six times their turnover and significantly more in relative terms than Rangers.

Did Hearts break rules like Rangers are alleged to have done? Maybe, maybe not (there's the difference). However, can their behaviour be described in any way as "proper" or "ethical"? There's a valid question for both Hearts and Rangers.

They should get completely different punishments for the completely different ways in which the two of them cheated.

Regardless, they both completed a period of cheating differently for which they gained an advantage on the pitch. They both won trophies that are completely tarnished and waiting to be stripped - completely. Until then, Scottish Football will writhe about foaming at the mouth waiting for a demon to be exorcised.

Which SFA/SPL/SPFL rule did Hearts break?

Which SFA/SPL/SPFL rule did Hearts break?

Think they did break a rule about paying players (on time). The 'side contract' prohibition which Rangers have been proved to have contravened hasn't been proved against Hearts, but enough details about Satchel's affairs are in the public domain to make it likely that Hearts will be shown to have broken that rule too (if anyone can be bothered following it up).

It Was revealed at his agent law suit his salary was 190,000 euro per year. Less than £ 3000/ week

That would have made him one of the lowest paid first team pros.

Just not believable.

Is there any recorded evidence of Skacel being paid in Lithuania direct to his bank thus avoiding UK tax? Someone who has detailed knowledge of all the Hertz financial goings on over the Pieman/ Romanov/ administration periods needs to set out a detailed comprehensive fully referenced time line and make it available on the web eg Dropbox. I think that the full details aren't widely known and people who have not followed the matter in detail easily gloss over it and many of those who do know what went on are happy to keep it below the radar.

There's a valid question for both Hearts and Rangers.Rangers(the old club) pressed the gamble button and lost. The gorgie mob, pressed the gamble button and it came up for them with 3x sevens, twice and they got the Scottish cup twice. the casino bosses threatened to bar them but were scared to, on account of already barring another big roller.

I think Tam Cowan is extremely clever here, he has brought Hearts into the argument indirectly, watch now how chat and focus will change to them once the ruling/final judgement on the Rangers is heard.

Let's deal with the cancer of Scottish Football that is Rangers 1st, then the 'whataboutery' will start on the puddle drinkers.

Not sure if it was recorded, but I do know that when Craig Gordon's contract was due to be renewed ( as well as some other players at the time) it was going to be with Vlads club in Lithuania, and then he would be loaned back to Hearts, just like Gonzzo 15655 and the rest of the players Vlad brought over!

Skacel's agent Jochen Kientz will know the answers.

Maybe even David Southern, now with Dundee Utd might have a story to tell.

Tax avoidance is an issue for HMRC or the Lithuanian tax authorities. Not sure they have any appetite to reopen investigations against them.

If you want to dispute Hearts SC win, it will be a failure to register players properly. Loaning players from Kaunas to Hearts might have been a clever way of circumventing the rules, however. It is fairly common for a parent club to pay a portion of a loanee's wages. This might be enough to allow them off the hook.

The fat blob Cowan has acquired Yam mates and now behaves as if he is one himself. Rare for his columns not to include an anti-Hibs jibe.

Tam Cowan on Offtheball on Saturday tea time wireless said he has put money on Hibs to win the league at 7-1. He said based on advice from knowledgeable fitba people. Should have done it earlier and got much better odds though.
