I'm guessing we will all be rolling out the welcome mat on Tuesday night for the long awaited return of Mr. C. Thomson Esq to Easter Road - aye right !!

Jason Cummings red card offence for two instances of diving in the first ten minutes then. Oh, and the second dive in the box was so offensive to Thomson that he gives a penalty to Livi at the other end.

The way we are playing at present even if Gary MacKay was refereeing he would struggle to influence the outcome.
As much as we all dislike Craig Thomson for previous deeds, I think a lot of us will look forward to him officiating Tuesday's game. The opportunity to abuse Craig Thomson throughout adds some more entertainment to the ticket price. (Providing we win the game of course)

If we play it doesn't matter who the ref is.

A struggling team worries who the ref is, a good team couldnae give a ****.

I'm pretty sure any games he's been in charge of since THAT Final, he's actually been alright. Maybe my mind playing tricks on me but thats what I seem to remember.

Edit -
Here his games since that final.

Would normally agree, but not in the case of that corrupt cheat.

We're obviously getting too close to Sevco for the SFA's liking.

Hopefully even Thomson will be unable to influence a game against Livingston.

I think its time to move on from this to be honest. When it comes to refereeing Mr Thomson has proved himself to be:

Super
Handy
Incredible
Tremendous
Excellent.

I think the more honest of us will treat him accordingly on Tuesday :aok:

Did Thompson not send off Paul Cairney for diving when it was a clear penalty in this game?

Here we go again!

If you think people are being paranoid then ask yourself why our club made a complaint to the SFA regarding his appointment for the 2012 cup final.

He's maybe alright now but as far as he's concerned he's done his damage and he can't get away with it any more. He's not a Jambo...he's just very anti-hibs.

Tbh I don't think that was a penalty. I was in the stand directly in line with the incident and the keeper got a big hand on the ball and his momentum took Cairney out. Never a dive and should have been a Hibs corner. As it was CT sent Cairney off and awarded a goal kick.

I was exactly there as well and there was definitely contact.

Thomson tried his best that night but Butcher's bullies done the business.

Pretty much how I saw it, although PC was definitely looking for the penalty. He knew he was going to get hit from the keeper and let it happen. I'm sure he got a bit of a hounding from the media a few weeks before that for going down too easy, possibly against Killie. I've no doubt CT was influenced by that.

To be fair he's actually one of the best we've got, which makes me wonder all the more about these bad calls before, during and after the cup final.

I would accept it more if it was just incompetence.

It has been proved the man has made many wrong decisions which have been against Hibs.

How he, has an individual, has the brass neck to referee us again beggars belief.

If the man had an ounce of conscience he would have declined this appointment.

Says it all about him, really.

The same game Collins should have had a clear pen at 1 0.
