Be a good time to sign up for HSL and get those 100 extra loyalty points. Should be enough to secure a semi final ticket.

You do know these points are awarded in February?

Hibs should market something like a three game package puts you in the hat for a ticket.

Half season tickets will be marketed to cover this base..................

Maybe the Club store could sell Hibs breathing masks and Hibs boiler suits, for those in main Stand

Well it's been up for about 300 years so another few months should be okay.

If ever there's a one sided viewpoint then it's this one!

Perhaps "the fans" were consulted and St Johnstone opted for Tynie or maybe your inside source was simply talking absolute nonsense.

I'd have thought that Hibs would have asked to play at Tynie - we're getting used to going to crappy wee grounds.

I voted for Hampden just because I don't want any ticket money going to the manky mob, but as the decision has been made, I am happy enough not having to travel through to the west coast dump. Saturday at 3pm too so all is good (apart from them getting rent fi the SPFL)

Who decides this? and why are the FANS not consulted.

at the beginning of the week I was told from a source within Hibs the game WOULD be played at hampden. To that end I assume Hibs have told the SFA we want it at hampden. Why then would they not allow it if the club has asked for it specifically, and if this is indeed the case I fully expect Hibs to release a statement saying as much 'we asked for hampden, we never got it' because to me that is nothing short of a joke. Ok people on here might have proffered Tynie, but if Hibs specifically askd for a venue why was it turned down?

I've asked this one before of someone at the SPFL. Apparently if there is no agreement between Clubs and SPFL the SPFL Board will have the final decision. The SFA have got nothing to do with this as its the League Cup.

Money from the Semi finals is pooled between the 4 clubs so the League are tasked with putting on the games so to maximise the return. It costs significantly more money to open Hampden than it does a stadium like Easter Road or Tynecastle so when a smaller attendance is expected they take the semi final to a smaller stadium so the Clubs get a bigger payout.

Sounds like your source has jumped the gun on the venue. If the Club did want Hampden they should come out and say so. If they don't I'd assume they have opted for *********** and a bigger cut of the cash.

Reluctantly I think Tynecastle is the right decision - focus now is on filling our section of the stadium, something Hearts couldn't do for their two recent league Cup Semi Finals v Inverness at Easter Road.

Supporters only excuse for not being at the match (ok - illness, holiday, etc. aside - before someone corrects me) should be they don't have enough loyalty points to secure a ticket. If you want to make sure you have enough points buy a half season ticket and attend the home games until your half-season ticket kicks in and you'll have earned enough points for the right to get a semi final ticket.

Great news, club will do well with half season tickets this year. Continue the feel-good factor and half season tickets turn into full season tickets next year.

Unfortunately with it being on a Saturday at 3pm this is highly unlikely but I would be happy to be corrected.

Makes the decison for anyone sitting on the fence on a half season ticket.

Money into the club, guaranteed ticket for the semi and potential final, tickets bought for until end of season and priority on any Scottish Cup games we may or may not get to :greengrin

A no brainer at what? Around £220-£250?

Perfect Xmas gift folks!!!!

From the other other thread.

"ST Holders followed by HSL folk with points from signing up and cup ticket and away ticket points but who don't have a ST. But its likely that the vast majority of ST / HSL and away match points holders are going to be ST holders anyway.

I guess that will account for about 8,500 leaving a general sale of 2,500 to 3,500 tickets?"

Would this not be more accurate?

Confident I will get one with no loyalty points.

It won't be from ground rental, it'll be pooled from both games & I'd be surprised if the Smellys TV money isn't 1/4rd to boot.
Semis @ Hampden are earned
