Hanlon was my MOM tonight. Thought he controlled everything that came near him.
Winning Goal on Sunday followed by a great performance tonight. Well done Paul.

I've always rated Paul but there's no doubt he's getting better with age! His reading of the game is top notch

He was brilliant tonight and deserved man of the match. Up there with McGinn and Cummings as our player of the season so far in my opinion

Outstanding and out of contract.

Really?

It's a no brainer for me, give him a new contract. Playing the best football of his career at the moment.

Don't worry about that. Expect a 3yr deal announcement in the near future.

Was really impresed with Paul Hanlon last night, he had a near perfect game. In the past I've been a wee bit critical that he wasn't quite physical or dominating as required for a centre half but that side of his game has come on leaps and bounds in the last 2 years. I suspect if he hadn't been injured for the last 1/4 of the last SPL season we would have stayed up.

Hope the new contract rumour is accurate!

In the form of his life and it says it all that he has stood out most in the biggest games .... well done Paul :aok:

We must win most games with him in the team. What a player.

That would be excellent. For me, Paul has been our most talented defender for many years now. Defenders have come and gone, but I don't think any of them have been as good as Hanlon. (and with the defenders we currently have, that speaks volumes about how good he is)

He's a typical central defender, he's getting better and wiser as he gets older. He's been one of my favourite players for a wee while now and it was fitting that he played really well on his 250th appearance. Well played Paul. :not worth

Always rated him highly, quietly efficient, you don't become captain of Scotland under 21's when your a huddy. :agree:
The lad has taken absolute pelters at times through the last few seasons, but all he's really needed is a decent manager and some decent players around him. Some players show great individual skills. Others play a hugely influential role as part of a unit without being the showman. Hanlon is going to be our next testimonial player I reckon. :top marks

Yes he has proved the many doubters wrong. I Think the vast majority of fans had concerns over pauls physical side but that has come on leaps and bounds these days.
It is no coincidence though that having better players around him also helps.
Incredible to already have played 250 games could be an all time great.

Great news, all we need now is somebody to tell Paul and his agent about it. :cb

Outstanding this season playing like a seasoned pro because that's exactly what he is. The experience he has in his own position is telling as his reading of the game shows. Hopefully he stays under the radar for a while yet.
