Fresh start away from the spotlight to work on his career, not a bad move for him.

It certainly is.
I can't help thinking his path and ours will cross in the years to come.

My brother knows him fairly well and he says that Jackie would have loved to have played for us but for whatever reason it never happened.
I still think he's got all the makings of an excellent manager. Sometimes a bad experience like he had at United can be the making of him. Glad to see he's bounced back with another job quickly but I can't help but think it's sometimes best to take a wee bit of time out to reflect before coming back?
United were a shambles by the time he left them.

That's what turned the fans against him. When that came out, I just knew he ain't going to last very long there unless he won some silverware or so.

Don't know who advised him on the deal to get a percentage of transfer fees but in hindsight it was never a good idea. All managers get iffy spells with teams and the minute that this was leaked, he was toast. Lost the fans and the remaining players
