I'm moving house and I was looking for a decent deal on Buildings and Contents insurance for the new place. It's a minefield.
The cheapest deals offer the bare minimum and the best cover comes at a cost, as you'd expect.
I'd got to the stage that I was considering a policy with Sainsbury's Insurance, which ticked every box and cost £250 a year. It's more than I pay now, but the new house is bigger and the cover is better.
However, I remembered that Direct Line don't cooperate with the comparison sites, so I decided to give them a try.
The exact same policy with them costs £167.53!
What's more, I accessed them via Topcashback.com and got £73.50 paid into my account, so the policy has actually only cost me £94.03! Fantastic!
