Those champions league campaigns seem like such a long time ago. Even after all these years it still feels wrong seeing Leeds where they are, but then again I've never liked them anyway.

A club with huge potential if anyone can turn them around. Bit of a poisoned chalice a the moment though.

The folk who own that club are turning the managers job into the kind that will attract managers looking for a stop gap gig until something more stable comes along. If ever a club needed a white knight it was them.

Tax mans nightmare combination. Might want to do a tie up with the team formerly known as Glasgow rangers

Disqualified! Maybe he should try his luck in Scotland. Seems an ideal fit for the authorities version of a fit and proper person

Hate that club with a passion! Their supporters remind me of Sevco supporters.

Steve Evans shows his class, spending Saturday and Sunday sorting out his contract for a job that another manager holds. Made for each other.

It is indeed

He scored against Celtic at Easter Road on the opening day of the season in a Hibs 2-1 win.

It was rumoured that Power was signed along with Paul Tosh from Dundee by Jim Duffy because it was the only way he could get his pay-off from the Dark Blues.

I was really optimistic then. Celtic won the title and Hibs were relegated.

We poached Duffy from Dundee - he wouldn't have been due any pay off.

On the whole, Duffy signed quantity over quality - often players he already knew from the first division. The first team squad was huge (something like 52/53 players IIRC).

I heard that if he paid transfer fees for that pair he would get a backhander. allegedly!

He did sign too many First Division standard players. Jocky Scott also signed a number of players, most of whom were not good enough.

This was being discussed on 5 live last night and the presenter and his guests said that they could not find any evidence that the quote was true. Which is a shame really.
