View Full Version : The 6-2 reunion....
The SKY commentator is saying there is a reunion tonight.
Is this a formal thing organised by the club or has Latapy been going through his phone book?!
And do we know if Sir Franck Sauzee is in attendance?!

If it's done by just the players there is more chance Sauzee being there. If it's by the club 100% no chance!

£62 per ticket, or £500 for table of 10
Only found out about it yesterday myself, could have been better publicised as I'm sure it would have been very popular! In saying that, maybe the tickets have all sold out anyway and they didn't need to.
Hope those going have a great night!
What was the date of the game ? Thinking about getting a smug mug with the details on it

Canceled, not canceled, poorly advertised, not sure how many tickets sold, not sure who's going to be in attendance..
Whole thing sounds a shambols, which is a real shame because a 6-2 reunion Hibs night has the makings of an incredible evening!

From reading the article in evening news, the organiser was Alex hurry who owned the shop in the gyle selling signed memorabilia, monies raised were going to various charities and a X factor contestant performing.

Unfortunately given the individual involved this is no surprise. Decided to steer a wide berth.
If it had been the Club organising and the Community Foundation or Hibs Youth benefiting would probably have been persuaded to attend.

Bollocks!!!
Was Mixu's, Zitelli's, O'Neill or Latapy's goals inconsiquental?
Although it was poorly organised (could have have been well selt out) it was a good night with Hibs at the forefront.

No, but Sauzee was an integral, massive part of that team. Read McLeish's best starting XI in your head and he's always there.
Seems like a bit of a last minute job with no official club involvement. Odd, but I'm sure a good night was had by all who actually knew it was happening in advance.

Yes he was and he is my favourite ever hibs player along with John Blackley. However he was one of a very talented team - O'Neil that night was just brilliant for example and Mixu of course got the match ball.....

as an aside a great idea but better organise by club, give fans chance to ceebrate games/players again also better held ER and Hibs being in control of proceeds. john oneill was immense. we should have had him years earlier

No need to apologise mate, I was just answering the question.
I first met him in the 80s through bowling.
His father (Alex snr) was a member of Gorgie Mills at the time and both Alex and Craig were just Hibs loving wee laddies.
I recall one of them played keepy up at half time at Easter Road with wee Coca Cola balls which were the rage at the time.

Yes Mr Hurrie is a die hard Hibby. As for his shops. He has had various over the years. Gorgie, near Newhaven,Gyle Shopping centre & Ocean Terminal. Some high profile places. Bumped the lot of them with rent arrears.

What a night. But we only got 3 points out of it. If that's aw we have to celebrate, then why bother. That will be why the club have had SFA to do with it.
