Just been looking at the sports section. There's a full match report on The Rangers match. There's a championship roundup that mentions every other game EXCEPT ours. There's no report about the Hibs game whatsover. Underneath The Rangers report there's another article about some ex Rangers player's return to Ibrox yesterday. I'm thinking our match report was binned for that. Oh well, another reader lost...

Herald group have been placing paid for articles for Rangers since the summer.
Times are tough in the newspaper business and Rangers needed season tickets sales to be high.
A deal was struck.

Is The Herald affiliated with the BBC? That would explain a lot.

That Hibs report is just a waste of time. They even got the penalty incident wrong. Should have just done what the Herald did and not bothered.

Stuart Bathgate, arch-Hibs hater works for the Herald now. Coincidence? I love putting the boot into that barsteward. :greengrin

The thing that strikes me as particularly galling is the fact that the majority of orcs reading the The Rangers report would have given up after the first sentence, as the article probably contains too many words for them.

Another rag which is well and truly on my blacklist. The Beano is the only publication worth reading these days.

I listened to around 4mins of a phone in show on radio Clyde yesterday, the first and last time, a sevco fan called saying that if we win our game in hand they've got a tough run of games and they shouldn't be thinking the leagues won just yet and the guys went through him, laughing at the mere suggestion anyone but sevco will win the league I couldn't believe how blatantly sevco they where all being, as tough a task as we've made it it would bring me no end of joy if we could win this league ahead of them the whole old firm media circus is gearing into full swing I'd love for us to drop an almighty spanner in the works

The metro today has a full page match report on the the rangers game. Hibs meanwhile get a little bit of text in a circle no bigger than a 2 pound coin!

I got the Herald on Sunday, have raised this with them and apparently it's a print error, there should have been a report on the match.

It's not a case of 'too many words for them' - it's more the case of 'too many maw & paws are also brother & sister'.......... on the plus-side, they do produce superb banjo-players !

Well it's obvious where the Hibs match report was supposed to be. But somebody decided to put a second item about The Rangers there instead. That's not a printing error.

Intentional bias or incompetence, both reflect badly on the Weegie rag. :cb
