Is the new announcer we've got today permanent or filling in for the incumbent?

Whoever he is, I say sign him up! Can actually make out what he is saying clearly in the east, he is enthusiastic and playing hibs songs when we score!

Not sure but enjoying it. The Hibs Kids announcing the goal scorer is a simple but excellent idea.

I'd sack him on the spot for that

Same as the official Hibs Twitter feed

That was pointed out to me soon as he said it as I didn't notice.

Thought his voice was a bit high pitched and childlike, myself. Would need an adult for big games.

Thought he was a breath of fresh air. Great enthusiasm. Liked the way he talked to the kids at half time, got everyone far more interested than normal.

Agree with other comments about the kids announcing the goals, was that a one/off ?

Kept banging on about our 100% home record....at least get your facts right.

And the announcer should always announce the away subs and scorers.

As I said above, the Hibs official Twitter feed mentioned our 100% home record as well

Not great but a lot better than the normal one who is as bad as the previous incumbent.

Can't stand the current breed of ' me me me ' sports announcers/dj's.

What did we do before the days of being told over the tannoy to make noise when the team comes out? Atmosphere killers.

Getting really bored of the same 5 or 6 songs being played before the match every week (Im not talking about hibs related songs)

Thought he was good. 100% record - maybe he means unbeaten?? Who cares, keep saying it and people believe it! That's what the ****bos do !!

It was part of the Hibs Kids day. They had a mini manager, mini reporter and mini presenter was them that were up there doing it (think they said at half time they were on Hibs TV).

He did say unbeaten at home before the match, when he said 100% record later on I thought he was saying that too.

I'm going to sound like a right grumpy James Hunt here but I thought that having the kids do the announcements over the tannoy was a bad idea. It's nice to get kids involved but for me that's a serious job where you need an adult. In bigger games this would be quite embarrassing IMO.

Thought he was good but what's with the dramatic music when the teams are coming out. Was the same last season. I think it's cringeworthy. Get back to glory glory to the Hibees

It was just for a Hibs kid day, it wouldn't happen in a big game.

That's fair enough. I like the hibs kids initiative, and I'm all for getting the next generation of fans involved in the club as much as possible, but I just wasn't a fan of them shouting over the tannoy, thought it was a bit nippy.:duck:
