Season 1939-40
2nd September, the last league game, against Albion Rovers, was played before the league was abandoned on the 13th September due to the war. The game ended in Hibs losing 5-3.
21st October, the first game played in the new Scottish Regional League East saw Hibs lose away to Dundee 2-1.
24th February, Hibs lost 5-0 to Falkirk at Brockville in the Scottish War Emergency Cup, the home tie at Easter Road saw Hibs regain some pride with a 4-0 win but it was not enough.
