It is at Ainslie Park 2pm k/o. We are bottom with one point, the 3-3 draw with Falkirk, we have however have played the least number of games only 5, we also have one of the youngest teams in the league. Last week we lost 1-0 to Ross Co up in Dingwall and that allowed them to overtake us in the league.
If we get anything out of the game tomorrow we will be doing well, Aberdeen are a very good side. We however should have Insall and ElAlague playing for 90 mins.

To be honest I'm not bothered how we do in the development league table this season. More what players we develop.

Take it your going to the game today .Farid and Insal have played in last game so you would think Keatings and Feruz should get some game time in this one ahead of Dumbarton game if they are to feature in squad .

Hopefully heading along, not sure where the likes of Keatings, Fyvie or Feruz are in their recovery.
Would expect to see Insall and Farid though, perhaps Stanton/Forster as well

Be interesting to see what game time Eckersly gets and how Lewis reacts to the challenge. If Ecks is only here short term then Lewis might get a rest to build up for the 2nd half of the season. Thought he looked a bit tired towards the end of last season.

(Not a criticism of Lewis just wondering how the squad will be managed).

4 2 ft. Encouraging that both Farid and Insall got another 90 mins. Farid must be getting near just in terms that the coaching staff were happy for him to play a full game on an artificial surface appreciating that the pitch appears to be better than the Alloa carpet.

That's really encouraging about Farid. 90 minutes two weeks on the trot, he really can't be far away from a seat on the bench.

At best, he looked knackered to me after 60 mins or so. So getting the 90 will be a big physiological and physical boost to him.
Thought Connor Duthie looked big and strong, and Ollie Shaw also played well

From what Stubbs said a few weeks ago, it almost sounded like they were quite happy with him physically. Sounded like it was more a psycological thing for him to get his head round. Hopefully 90 minutes, especially on astro, starts to do that.

If they had any concerns about how the injury would stand up they wouldn't play him on that surface, never mind give him the 90. Hopefully it's just a case of topping up the match fitness now.

Was very impressed with Conner Duthie thought Insall worked hard and never gave up always looking for the ball. Getting another 90 mins under Farid's belt will do him wonders might get a seat on the bench on Saturday

The Eckersley signing baffles me. I was supportive of it at the time as I didn't realise the length of his injury.

However if he's 2 weeks away from a return to training that about a month from 1st team action so say mid November and his contract expires in January and he's been clear he won't be extending.

Seems a bit strange to sign a guy as cover and pay him for 4 months give or take when he's only actually going to provide cover for circa 6 weeks. I'm sure there is reasoning behind it but it seems a strange signing.

Cracking signing that Eckersley, what a complete waste of a wage. Signing an unfit injured player for short term cover. Back training in a couple of weeks, then a few weeks to get fit we will have him for a few weeks after that then he is off to the USA.

I was all for bringing in competition but that beggars belief.

That aside great to see a couple of the guys getting game time today and hopefully wont be long till the others are back in the development squad then main squad.

Waste of a wage isnt purely down to his deal its really has his time with the club been worthwhile to the club when a player has finished. Right now he will have been using substantial resources in physio rehabilitation etc and im pretty sure he will be getting paid even if a small amount . I would wait until when he leaves and to see what he has contributed on the pitch for us before i say waste of a wage .

Stubbs has mentioned they knew about injury. So I would expect he has been given use of our medical team and a pay per play contract.
