Season 1934-35

During the close season, at the club’s AGM, Chairman Owen Brannigan resigned his post and Harry Swan was formally appointed Chairman of Hibernian Football Club. (Owen Brannigan had joined Hibs as a player in 1881, he later did office work for the club and eventually rose to became Chairman. He was to remain associated with the club for another 11 years).

February, Hibs drew twice against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup third round, and in their following league match against Albion Rovers, they rested several players so as to be ready for the game against Aberdeen two days later. The Rovers game ended 3-3 and Hibs lost 3-2 to the Dons.
