Ok not Hibs related but it's been all over FB all day. A guy done a coupon of both teams to score and team to win. He had 5 right over the w'end and was waiting on Everton for £45k

Was offered £4K to cash out and at 2-0 down must have felt rotten, think of the joy when Everton scored the third!!

Well done, love seeing the bookie take a beating like this. 👏🏼👏🏼

Not according to the official William Hill account on Twitter. They said he has let it run so whoever was on FB are telling porkies.

Once it got to that stage, you'd just start laying huge sums too to guarantee you do alright either way.

I would have let it roll, a £20 bet, good luck to the guy for holding out.

Some poxy Russian team let me down for £450 tonight. No fair. :greengrin

Would certainly be wanting to do something like that. Must've been ways to make it worthwhile, although the average Joe doesn't have a few g's lying about to cover it I suppose.

Well done though.

Was a £5 accumulator . After Everton being 2-0 down . I would have broke my phone screen cashing out at 2-2 for 17 k .

His cash out must've been ridiculous at 2-0 down, he must've been distraught.

Balls of steel though and always nice to see the bookies take a pumping.

Any big bookie would be delighted for the bet to win because 45k would be small change to them, and the publicity is worth more. I think they should be applauded for offering the 4k cash out when it looked like the bet was bust...not that I'm not delighted the guy had the balls to stick with it. I would definitely have grabbed the offer...no question :greengrin

I think the £4K cash out offer was BEFORE the Everton game kicked off. At 2-0 down, they were probably only offering him his fiver back.

£4K was before the game kicked off! He'd be offered sweeties at 2-0 down. He must have gone mental when the third hit the net.

I'm sure now after his big win, most of his online betting accounts will be promptly shut down by the bookies (heard this does happen!)

Unbelievable win though, if that was me, Everton would have not won last night with my betting luck :greengrin

I think it would only be Hills (who he placed this bet with) that would consider any action, as opposed to other companies he has accounts with. Although I guess if his name and location are common knowledge, they could easily monitor his account now. I don't even think Hills will bother about it in all honesty - they are far more likely to be concerned about accounts making a consistent profit over time, than one lucky customer getting his 'one big win'.

Excellent for him though, and must have been some celebration when the 3rd went in!!! :aok:

The smaller his original stake would only make laying off some of his bet even easier - all depends on what access he has to large sums of money of course :greengrin
