With Aberdeen being forced into making two first half substitutions, it meant that our substitutions were going to be vitally important and a real chance to make changes to the pattern of play with Aberdeen being limited with tactical options in the second half. For me, Carmichael was a hugely significant change at the right time which then saw us enjoy more of a threat. Very impressed with him tonight I must say.
Alan Stubbs took full advantage of the situation and showed that despite being hampered with injury in the squad, we still have game changing options of good quality on our bench.
