That's what we've been asking for all along, to show what he can do and show that he wants to be here!

And boy, he showed it!! Reminisent of Benji v Aberdeen at ER, but better!

All is forgiven Dom.

I like how he picked number 7 as his number. He is the epitome of Hibs class. Frustrating, skillful, entertaining.

The big man should have dribbled it past the 11k fans as his celebration 😎

I just loved his wee thumbs up gesture to the East after his goal.

Along with with a big smile on his face which just said "I'nt this good"

Indeed it seemed to unfold in slow motion but by God he had the ball under his spell. Totally mesmerised the Aberdeen defenders an you just knew somehow he was going to bury it once he was one on one with their keeper.

A moment that will live long in the memory.

Can't wait to see the goal and his reaction to the booking. I've been laughing for a good 5 minutes picturing him shrugging in a "Who cares? We've just won" classic Malonga fashion, after the ref shows him yellow

Yes and he was also s******ing about him and saying he can hardly even connect with a ball normally and always looks like he should be subbed off. Was making out this was just a complete fluke from someone with little skill. Well Richard Gordon get it right up you. Willie Miller too, they were all lining up at Easter Road tonight to have a right good go at Hibs and rave about the Dons glorious win. Ha ha. At least Derek Mcinnes had the decency to call it as it was, well done for that.

Great night at Easter Road and i hope some folk who are not usually there decide to come back now. :aok:

I can't remember who compared him to Archibald in his defence at those who questioned his ability. Archibald, who was Maradona's replacement at Barcelona.

Delighted for him - utterly bizarre that he takes so much stick given his obvious quality and superb scoring record, so hopeful that will finally get folk off his back.

Great run and superb finish. Had a feeling that something was going to happen when he got on the ball.

He's by far the most talented striker. Suppose if he done that week in week out he wouldn't be here. So I'm glad he does it now and then 😁

I admit I was not too pleased to see him coming on as he has not been playing well this season but as said watched the run from the half way line in on goal waitingfor one of the Sheep to pull him down or lose the ball but he proved me wrong and boy am I happy to be proved wrong as he strode into the box and stuck the ball away into the same corner that Jason had stuck the first one in .
apologies King Dom

I'm never slow to criticise him so have to lay on the accolades when merited. And it absolutely is merited tonight as that goal was fantastic. In typical Malonga slow motion, but wonderful skill, finish and celebration.

Brilliant.

What a goal...loved the celebration - went on forever and was cracking up when he was telling the fans to turn the noise up!

He kissed the badge and was great to see all the other players join in also!

I like the guy! I just don't think he's suited for playing Championship part time teams (though his record last season showed otherwise!) - hope he stays till end of the season :aok: and we have him for the top league.

Taking into consideration the circumstances at the time the ball arrived with Dominique, to do what he did at that stage of the game it goes down as one of the best goals I have seen at Easter Road. Can`t wait to see it again. (And Jason`s of course, which was none too shabby either).

A truly astonishing goal. I must have screamed man on 4 or 5 times before he more or less placed it into the net . The same spot as the goal at Falkirk last season. I still think he struggles against the packed defences we face home and away, as most players do, but given room and a sight on goal this is one special talent. Horses for courses and if we can adapt away from home and get an early goal or two and get the opposition to open up then he will do some damage. I still cant really believe what i saw there against a very good defence. Normally Cummings goal would have been hard to top but Malonga was bordering on pure genius.

This is what we need to hear. Kids wanting to go back. Posts like this make me very happy. Got to hold on to the future season ticket holders. My daughter has taken pelters for years in the playground over her support for Hibernian. I hope we can turn it all around over the next few years. Chuffed to bits your kids had a great night.

As someone else has already mentioned on a previous thread, Dom should really have rounded the keeper; what was he thinking?

If i was an Aberdeen fan, I would be questioning what sort of girl the defender was who had caught up with Dom from behind only to seemingly give up without attempting a tackle.
