Sounds like all Hibs?

Why can we not kill teams off early?

Because we don't take our chances , and it leaves the opposition in the game .its frustrating but predictable and with three of our strikers out ,we only have Young Feruz to come off the bench and he isn't match fit .

Started well but faded. Would be a different game if we'd taken any of those (easy) early chances.

Quite lucky in the end to go in level, some great goalkeeping and last-ditch defending to keep us in it.

Too pedestrian, lots of sideways passes and half-decent crosses that the strikers don't even look interested in getting on the end of.

Tbh I'd be tempted to chuck Forster on for Malonga. At least he attacks the ball.

From what I hear we were also kicked off the pitch for the majority of the game without our players getting much protection.

Typical Livingston. At least none of our players need a face transplant like Sam Nicholson last season.

Would love more goals but this year we haven't been left needing them. Come next week when DR is signed all our goal scoring problems will be gone.

Our inability to put away the chances we create is gonna cost us over the season.

Cummings is not a target man so no idea why we kept putting the ball in the air towards him.

Position is much improved on this time last year....though we're still playing catch-up on the leaders. The defeat against Dumbarton has hurt us

Malonga was awful today, should of been hooked at half time.

Terrible game, 2nd half I don't think we had a shot on goal apart from the free kick.

Holding on from the bottom side in the league wasn't good enough, last ten we were camped in.

Only positive today was the fact we got 3 points.

Our last four games have all been wins and we have yet to concede a goal. That's progress. Be nice to put the early chances away and take away some of the pressure later on in the game but three points is three points.

Hopefully we can put on a good show against Aberdeen on Wednesday and follow it up with a win against St Mirren at the weekend.

Winning is the main thing, but that was poor. Centre halves were fine defensively. Bartley did all right and McGeough was busy.

Some of our passing was shocking, Stevenson and McGinn in particular.

Great goal from Henderson.

I can barely thing of two players who are less like target men than Malonga and Cummings (except possibly Riordan[emoji1]) so why we insisted on pumping the ball up to them all game is beyond me. The livi centre halves must have won about 20 headers each! Even more worrying than starting the game playing this way is the fact that we finished that way. No plan b!

Bartley and Hanlon were top men for me. Generally, I thought we were poor. We won though but performing at that level each week will lead to dropped points.

More immediately we'll need to step up if we are going to compete on Wednesday. I don't want to be there to make up the numbers, I want a win.

Wins and win and that's what will count most if we're to get out of this league.... but it was dreadful to watch. One single bit of quality was the FK.

Two sitters missed by Cummings and Dom knocked the stuffing out of Hibs and just encouraged Livi who should have been dead and buried. IMO best on show were Henderson, Fontaine, Bartley and McGeogh (esp first 45). Worst on show were Stevenson, Malonga, McGinn who struggled badly.

Not pretty and won't encourage fans back, but this is a season for digging in and digging out wins. Last season we'd have drawn that game.

Did anyone else notice in the warm up that Dom warmed up on his own (after the initial passing in pairs they all broke off to do other things. Target shots at goal, more passing, heading etc). Dom did his own thing and didn't get involved with any other hibs player. Just an observation but seemed a bit odd!!

Do we need a plan B for a 1-0 win?

In my opinion we most definitely do. A professional team and manager should always adapt to the opposition or at the very least play to your own strengths. in this game we did neither!

If you are happy with a 1-0 and that performance against the bottom team in the league then fair enough but I am certainly not and like I say the fact that we could not change it when everyone could see it wasn't working worries me greatly.

Malonga was rank and his miss was a shocker but to be fair we were not much better when Boyle came on. Unfortunately Stubbs seems content to play without wingers and in a style that fails to generate much atmosphere . A valuable 3 points though but the way the ball was getting hoofed about during the last 10 mins is not how I want to see Hibs playing and certainly not against a side of the calibre of Livingston.

I thought that Malonga went on to have an ok second half. Dropped off and linked the play well.

Not that I'd have let him see it as I'd have taken him off at ht.

I really don't think he works well with Cummings at all.

Didn't see what was being suggested during the warm-up but when he went off and went over to the bench he was acknowledged by everyone with high fives etc.

He's so laid back he's horizontal but he can spark into life when he needs to/ wants to.

I don't think there is a "problem" with him and the squad in any way, we shouldn't try to see things that simply aren't there.

Funny how everyone sees the game differently. I think from that point onwards he only wanted to play the safest of passes as not to ensure further hate from the stands.

For me, he's missing the goals of last year but performing no differently. He's got no confidence at the moment, but when it comes to chances isn't putting them away. There's a reason he's on the bench when Keatings is fit.

I don't think he'll be here past Jan. He could do himself a massive favour with the fans and make an effort to look like he wants to be here.

Punting the ball skywards didn't do either Cummings or Malonga any favours as their 2 giant centre halves won everything.

I'm more concerned with the team shape, as we still lack width and seem content to clog the middle of the park time after time.

Yep and I just didn't get throwing on Boyle as a partner to Cummings when all his best stuff is done on the wing, which would have given us some much needed width.

A Livi fan I know said it was by far their best performance of the season and I think other teams will struggle against them. We defended well against their high balls.

hey but alot of folk on here will accept a 1-0 win against the worst team in the league. I slated us last game which we won.but folk see what they want and some are happy with a team that takes all day to build an attack instead of getting stuck in and going for it. We all have different expectations. I expect us to turn up and win 4 or 5 nil today, but hey ho thats just me

I haven't seen the Malonga miss and by the sounds of it, it's a shocker. But let's not get on his back just yet! Yes our strikers need to get their finger out and scoring open goals doesn't get any easier.

But I'm glad they are at least getting into these chances. Just the other day I was speaking about Agathe's miss v Hearts. Doesn't mean your a bad player these things can happen.
