View Full Version : Positive thread

I need a little bit of cheering up on a cold, wet Monday morning in a dreary office with the nights drawing in.

How about having a positive thread to give us a lift with no negative posting allowed. The rules are you are only allowed to make one point in each post though you can make more than one post.

I will start with 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0 at home this season in the league.

And agree with this. The guy has only just started to show us what he's got, and he's got that hungry look which can drive a whole team.

And Hendo... Exciting potential.

HSL are chipping in £300k a year to the players budget. That's why we have Mcginn.
If we can double the membership over this season we can have two players like that next season.

Proper quality options on the bench that will enable us to change shape and tactics where required, rather than bringing on the same type of player who is less tired.

Reguero
Boyle, Forster, McGregor, Eckersley
Fyvie,
Carmichael, Feruz
Dom, Farid, Anier

That's a team which didn't start on Saturday & which IMO would also have won comfortably. Note, that does not include Insall, Handling, Stanton or Martin. We do now have a quality squad & the biggest problem for AS may be keeping them all happy.

Jeez that really brings home what a great squad we currently have. IMO we have a top 6 premiership squad...the issue is getting out of this league...but with a long winter ahead that depth of squad will give us a huge advantage in this league. ..it's stronger than Sevco's imo

We won (again) without losing any goals...two wins on the bounce.

And for extra bonus happiness, the yams lost (again!)...two loses on the bounce  (which does not impact our season but sure as **** makes me and others laugh)

I like watching Hibs play good football and winning and on the 2 previous campaigns I've seen them play in the 2nd tier league that's exactly what I've seen.

Motherwell, Dundee, Raith, Partick, Hamilton, Falkirk, St Mirren, Sevco, ICT, etc are all much the same and its nice to get some variety after tedious years playing the same teams umpteen times a season.

With a good looking squad, I'm looking forward again to winning more than losing with good football and some good cup runs - who needs European games in July that minor success in the top league brings.

Things are a million times better off and on the park than they were 12 months ago. We have a squad of players who even if they cant make up the gap the Zombies have opened are well capable of finishing 2nd and winning a play off against any team finishing 3rd in the Championship or 2nd bottom of the Premiership.

Yes a calendar year. The Rangers and QoS back to back (in late March and early April) have been the only 2 defeats.

My family migrated from the highlands to Gala in September 1965.
We moved over the long weekend so as not to disrupt our schooling.

So it was that there was a day in late September '65 - probably the only day since my infancy - that I had no friends at all.

That was the day I decided to support Hibs.

The good news is I'm still smiling, still can't wait for the next game.
