Hibs attempt to move to a new 50,000 stadia at Piershill was thwarted when the North British Railway obtained a court order preventing the development.

A wee bit more to that story in that the development was well under way and nearing completion when the council and NBR put out a compulsory order out on a corner of the land the new stadium was on. Hibs had to abandon the move. NBR never built anything on the land at all.
