I will never speak ill of the dead and respects to his family for the loss but his time at Easter Road was a disaster at Hibs.

Waugh tried his best for the team he loved.

He was the person that finally built a roof over the Main Terrace at Easter Road, after it being uncovered for about 80 years, giving us both cover and a better atmosphere at games.

He also ploughed a lot of his own money into the effort to save Hibs when Mercer tried to shut us down.

Exactly. Kenny's contribution in 1990 is often overlooked. Never should be forgotten. RIP.

No worse than the end of Tom Hart's ownership and certainly better than Davie Duff. We weren't relegated under Kenny Waugh either.

He owned Hibs when attendances at matches were at an all time low (throughout the country) and didn't have huge personal wealth that he could throw at the club.

RIP Kenny - a real Hibs man.

He gave us another first, the big scoreboard. I can't seem to find a pic of it though, maybe I dreamt it.

But RIP Kenny, I remember a few good days out in and around his company years ago.

Took over Hibs at a very difficult time financially for the club and football in general and thanfully steadied the ship.

He brought in great Hibs men like Stanton and O'Rourke to manage the team who in turn brought on youngsters like Weir, Kane, Collins...

And another strong man during the HOH Mercer battle. We should never ever forget what he and a few others did for our club in those dark days. Thanks Kenny.

Was in the same class at school as his daughter and nephew, so my deepest condolences go to them.

RIP Kenny Waugh.

Anyone remember the day he introduced you had to buy a programme to get the half time scores as they were in a sort of secret code ?, zx-2. yd-1. etc, the fans went mental and they had to read out the scores to calm everyone down.
