Season 1895-96
17th August, Hibs played their first game in the 1st Division after being voted in. They beat Third Lanark 7-2 in Glasgow.
1st February, Hibs finish their first year in the First Division in third place, behind Celtic and Rangers and above Hearts who finished fourth.
14th March, Hibs lost to Hearts 3-1 in the final of Scottish Cup Final played at Logie Green, the crowd was 17,034. This was the only time the Scottish Cup Final has been played outside Glasgow.
