A friend of mine is also in this programme as one of the sf. The female doctor Bennett I think her last name is puts a lot of the men to shame on the programme. First week was enjoyable looking forward to this week with the Israeli SF.

Really enjoyed the first episode with the Navy Seals. Read the book American Sniper on holiday and he goes into a lot of detail re his SEALS training describing hell week in detail. Sounded absolutely brutal!! The book is way better than the film. Loved one wee quote from Chris Kyle in it saying, "Some guys will tell you they got kicked out of BUDS cause they got into a fight with the instructor and beat the crap out of him. They're lying sacks of ****. No one fights with the instructors. You just don't. Believe me, if you did, they'd come together and whip your ass so fast you wouldn't ever walk again."

Steve Curnyn*

Was at school with his younger brother.

Machine of a guy, will be up there at the end of it all I'm sure of it.

Really enjoyed the show too.

I'm on episode 3 and don't recall this name. Is he still in it?

Think I read that he got punted after the second one for snapping his finger back into place.

Could be wrong though, he's definitely in the first one a few times.

Edit: just checked his latest update on his person training account and, the way he's worded his post, seems hes still there.

Cheers. I'll keep an eye out - definitely couldn't see him in last week's episode. Mind you they do focus on a few characters quite a lot and usually because they're a pain in the tits that's going to get emptied.

Aye, I've taken no news to be good news for him.

1 week to go now. He kind of skirts around the periphery compared to some of the others but he's sticking in there.

That Spicer came across as a total fanny. Copy that.

Spicer was clearly an absolute bellend from about week 1. Sorry to see the old boy from Yorkshire go out last week. That Russian spetznaz boy put the car amongst the pigeons with those dismissals.

Apart from the guy with the hair that left his rifle that's who I thought would go. They were always going to have at least one female in the final.

Feel a bit cheated with that - I think the producers picked her out from day 1.

Everything you see in any TV show is orchestrated, nothing is left to chance.

She was great though, obviously going to struggle a bit strength wise but she was consistent all the way through,

She seemed to be decent but at the end of the day she toppled over when she put a heavy bag on and she's the best of them all?

Relatively I think she was. The trainers has nicknamed here the machine. And her run time in the last event showed her determination, she beat the other two easily.

Orchestrated? Well maybe who knows but her strength, determination and mental approach were pretty impressive to me.

No doubt she was fit and mentally tough - just looking back it seems a bit of a carve up.

Enjoyed the series overall though.

I would love to have been in the meeting where the producers of the shown told the Spetsnaz boy who he needed to pick for the final!

Was a pretty good series though apart from Flintoff's narration and presentation which were as wooden as the bat he used to play with.

He was a poor presenter. Can't see it getting done again as everyone would know what to expect. If it does come back they need to get a different presenter.

The spatnaz guy would do what he was told by those paying his wages - that's what army boys do!

It seems a bit unfair that a woman is asked to lift the same amount of weight as a man, it's a fact of life that men are physically stronger.

It was quite good, some interesting characters who will develop as the series goes on.
