Season 1885-86
20th February, Hibs were again victorious in the Edinburgh FA Shield final beating St Bernards 5-1.
10th April, Scotland played Wales, Scotland won 4-1, James McGhee and James Lundy of Hibs won their first Scotland caps.
15th May, the final of the Rosebery Cup was abandoned after 75 minutes due to a riot, Hibs were leading 2-0, the replay on the 1st June was also abandoned due to a riot, this time after 70 minutes and with Hearts leading 2-0. On the 24th June Hearts eventually won the cup 1-0.
Hibs sold their first season tickets, costing 5/- (25p).
Michael Whelahan was made Hibernians President.
