10th Jan, Hibs beat Emmet 20-1 in the semi-final of the Edinburgh FA Shield.
28th February, Hibs retained the Edinburgh FA Shield after beating Edinburgh University in the final 3-2.
13th April, Fr Edward Hannan is made Canon Hannan.
18th April, Hibs 2nd XI won the ‘Phantom Cup’.
25th April, a 3-0 win over Hearts in the Earl of Rosebery’s Challenge Cup final saw Hibs retain the Cup.
In season 1884-85, Hibs played 33 games, lost 6, drew 1 and again scored 145 goals.
