ST MIRREN'S NEW FULLBACK
St Mirren have signed right-back Keith Watson until January following his departure from Dundee United at the end of last season.
The 25-year-old spent time on loan with Hibernian in 2014/15 and moves to Paisley after Jason Naismith was ruled out with a long-term injury.

Pretty glad he's not signing for us. Lee Wallace made a fool of him in the game at ER late in the season last year.

Not a bad player but had issues with injuries and not the quickest either. Did ok for us (apart from that Rangers game). No great loss I feel.

"The 25 year old joins on a short-term contract and the management team at St.Mirren hope he will be ready to take his place on the treatment table as soon as Saturday".

He put some decent performances in for us last season but we've seen too many players with questionable injury records miss too many games for us over the pst few years.

Although it is quite amazing how many games players (such as James McPake and Sean Welsh) seem to be able to take part in once they've left the club.

The.net myth continues...Watson is NOT injury prone. as has been discussed on other threads he has averaged 30 games over last few seasons....that does not constitute injury prone. Good luck to him

Yes he only missed the last 3 or 4 league games so u werent at many
matches last season if u dont know what he looks like! But dont let facts get in the way of u slagging off a player who gave his best for us

No. Loss.

I thought he was simply too slow.

30 odd game over a 'few seasons' would suggest he is injury prone!

Are u serious TC? Considering a league season is 36 to 38 games i would have to disagree with you. Though this topic is really boring me now.

He played 37 games in 2012-13 & 29 games in 2013-14.

He only played in 16 last season for Dundee United but that was partly down to losing his place at United (hence going out on loan)

He also played a total of 9 games for Hibs, making it 25 games for 2014-15
