I quite like the Friday night football, regularly watch BT sport on a Friday even though a load of their games tend to be Rangers. Friday's a better option for me than the Saturday tea time match or the early Sunday game.

Definitely dull. I used to watch loads of EPL, hardly ever missed a match on a Sunday but now I can barely be arsed to watch MOTD.

Only watching cos it's on and nothing else is.

I'm a United fan, but I agree about the lack of excitement under Van Gaal, whose approach is more measured and methodical. It's always worked for him in the past, but it isn't great to watch.

Only saw snippets of Villa v Utd but I've watched 2 Scottish games on TV this season, Hearts v St Johnstone and the Dundee derby,and both were far more entertaining than that tonight.

Strip back the Sky hype and the slick highlights shows and there are a hell of a lot of poor games contested by spectacularly average players in the EPL.

Spot on. Their show started an hour and 45 minutes before kick off tonight. It was just a regular league match for Christ sake. Overhyped. In saying that, I still watch it!
