The pundits were genuinely talking about this Arsenal team having the best chance in years to win the league title this year.

Not sure why - absolutely no cutting edge and still utter pony at the back.

Arsenal are the English Hibs. Nice pretty football but **** up regularly when it matters and when expectations are raised

Not sure why - absolutely no cutting edge and still utter pony at the back.Probably because of the win over Chelsea last week. You can't really have a go at them for judging things on 1 game when you are doing the same thing. Arsenal are far from bad at the back, that is a boring 5 year old cliche from the Senderos/Eboue times. They have had no cutting edge today yes but with players like Walcott, Sanchez, Ramsey, Ozil and Cazorla that isn't likely to continue.

Two FA cups in amongst a horribly barren spell for them. But yeah, we are defo more like Spurs when it comes to their derbies [emoji57]

The previous 7 or 8 seasons were though, which is what I was meaningWhile paying off a 400 million pound stadium and constantly remaining top 4, not bad when you consider their rivals were spending that on subs.

Good to see Newcastle doing well.

McLaren is a good manager and beating Southampton is no gimme, assuming it stays how it is. The Toon fans, much like Hibs fans, deserve a break this year.

Like when Arsenal destroyed Aston Villa 4-0 to retain the FA Cup at the end of last season? If only Hibs could emulate that here.

Ah sarcasm. The difference of course is that Arsenal weren't relegated, and then stayed down last season.

I think a lot of the stuff about Hibs already being three points behind The Rangers is that many (rightly or wrongly) see the Championship as being a two horse race between Hibs & The Rangers. Arsenal's situation is entirely different.

Also if memory serves me right, Arsenal don't play any part time teams in their league.

This is a big season for Brendan Rodgers. He's been given huge money to spend and needs to get results. I know some Liverpool fans were questioning him last season, and he'll need to avoid early pressure.

No of course they aren't, as you know full well. It doesn't make it any more acceptable though to lose to a part time club if Hibs are ever to get promoted back to the Premiership, now does it? Ask Alan Stubbs and see what he thinks.

The thing is this. Hibs are still considered by many (in Scotland anyway) to be a "big club". Just listen to what every football player who signs for Hibs says. John McGinn being the latest player to say he turned down offers elsewhere to join Hibs because they were a "big club" bla bla bla.

It does happen from time to time that a part time club will beat "big clubs" but that's more likely to be in one-off cup ties. However, yesterday's match was in a league match. How often do part time clubs beat so called "big clubs" in respective league competitions? I'm not sure TBH.

Last season, Hibs lost to both Alloa and Dumbarton, and also drew with Dumbarton. Yet in that same season they also destroyed the same Dumbarton 3-6. They have started off this season by losing to Dumbarton again. Go figure.

If you look at the spfl just now, replace Ross county with maybe one of the three teams who are directly below them, that could be the way the table looks come the end of the season.
