They could lower the prices seeing as it's a special occasion and they are trying to get a big crowd in.

Not for me but each to their own. Looking forward to a proper celebration for the 150th

Yep it's a bit random. Seems to have been representations from branch members who didn't think they would see the 150. It's not for me either.

Images have been sent to some supporters who were involved in the forum consultations... the Tshirts won't be exactly like the originals which is a shame. Does anyone know what the final decision was with the retro shirt - yellow or white harp?

Tbh I'm a bit confused about the significance being attached to 140 years as well but I'll take any excuse to celebrate Hibs. As someone said on another thread whilst it's hardly been a bed of roses Hibs have given me some of the best days of my life.

The Hands Off Hibs 25 year anniversary is one I'm glad we are acknowledging. The displays at the open day were great and a re release of the t shirts is a nice idea as well imo.

When Hibs ceased to be for a year (2?) In the 1880s or 90s what was the deal. Was this on the back of Celtic forming?

Were we liquidated or just taking a year off?

Basically, what do we have over Sevco to say we're 140 and not 115?

Sounds like they have big things planned for the home game against a Morton. Anyone any ideas as to the celebrations planned?

Roll on 150 and a proper landmark.

Live for today, enjoy the moment, 10 years is a long way away and 140 years is worthy enough to celebrate. If anything it's a good excuse for a retro shirt.

My understanding is that (after being pillaged by Celtc) we did not have the staff / resources to continue playing. However, rather than the club being liquidated and a 'newco' being formed, after a year or so's hiatus, we simply continued as the same club once new funds / staff etc were found.

Aye, but it's surely all about the age of the Club and not about the age of its supporters!

Generally birthdays/anniversaries of 10 year intervals are considered to be a landmark. 140 is not as big a landmark as 150 just like 150 is not as big as 200 but that doesn't mean it's pointless.

As you say it's nothing to do with the supporters age, I'm not sure if you meant that for me or the reference that someone made earlier about one of the supporters clubs. My point about living for the moment was nothing to do with the age of the supporters, it's 10 years til the 150th wh is te next achievement but this is still worthy of celebrating/recognition IMO.

No problem. Each to their own on this one.
