Just woke up, switched the box on and the yams are 1.0 up already. Ten minutes watching tells me two things. First, they look lucky as usual and second they are still signing the ugliest looking players.

Just under 17,000 apparently. Does looks packed! Both teams look shaky and Hearts haven't done anything of note since the goal. Saints though are rotting which I fully expected them to be!

Don't see how, it's a team that's just been promoted against one of the traditionally smaller clubs that don't have a big budget.

Dundee utd against Aberdeen will probably be a better representation of Scottish football and I'd expect that to be a decent game, surprised it's not on the Tele (don't think it is anyway)

This isn't a dig at you but I find it annoying that if there's ever a high scoring game in Scottish football it's because the defences are so bad, when an English game finishes with lots of goals every one creams themselves about it being the best league in the world!

I expected them to win fairly easily - still on the crest of a wave / unfurling the flag blah blah -its 3 points but the question is, can they improve?

Why - only one goal was semi decent. Its was really poor football. Goals doesn't mean a good game.

One thing I t shows I feel is the difference young players getting real game time makes,, sam Nicholson Jamie walker stall are no better than our young lads but game time means they are now streets ahead of them IMO

The bit in bold GAG. That cliche is as old as the hills. Whereas I agree there is some truth in it, there just seems to me to be some teams that get more than their fair share of luck, whether they deserve it or not.

The Yams definitely fall into that category IMHO. They are jammy barstewards. :agree:

It was an exciting game, well exciting 2nd half at least.

I would much rather watch a 4-3 than a 1-0. Just my opinion of course.

If we had went through admin relegation etc managed to survive then won the league at a canter...I believe we would be getting a crowd that size on the first day of the season

St Johnstone didn't get a penalty, Hearts got one, missed it and then scored the rebound.

Even if Stanton and Harris are of an equivalent standard they are clearly mentally stronger as they can produce when it matters.

Taking the green tinted specs off there's literally no way anyone could argue our two are better.

Stanton and Harris have played about 50 games each. You can't say they have not had a chance.

When coming through the youth systems I would say they were no better yes. So obviously it has been their development in the first team that has made he difference. I'm not doubting they are better now . I like walker and thought Nicholson was outstanding today

i actually enjoyed the game - couldve went either way in the end

hearts showed some fight for the heads not to go down at 3-3

Totally agree. I think Stanton has it in him to perform much better and he can be a similar goal threat like Nicholson. There is no such comparison to be made with Walker and Harris though, sad as that is to say.

Nicholson in particular will make a lot of money for Hearts in the future.
