All you have to do is post, on this thread, who you think the first Hibernian goalscorer will be when we take on Rangers, at Easter Road, in the upcoming Petrofac Training Cup 1st round tie on Saturday, July 25th. Kick-off is at 12:30 pm. You must also add a time in whole minutes (1-90 as well as 91-120 minutes for possible extra time) to your selected player and this goal time will act as a tie-breaker. You don't need to get the time spot-on - the nearest guess is good enough.
EXTRA-TIME RULE:
As this tie could produce extra time, without a qualifying goal in regulation time for the purposes of this competition, you are invited to add an extra-period goal time to your chosen player. For example; Oxley, 62, 107.
:rules:
...One entry per registered member. We won't be accepting any 'if that time is taken, give me the next minute up or down' (or similar) entries. We'll take your first answer.
...If you happen to inadvertently take two or more different guesses, we'll take your first answer.
...Own goals of any sort - even for Hibs - do not count for the purposes of this competition. It is the first Hibs player to score for Hibs we're looking for. If Hibs' only goal is officially deemed to be an own goal, the prize will be held over.
...Guesses such as 45+2 or 93 or 105+1 or 122 won't count. 45 or 90 and 105 or 120 will include any time added on at the end of any period of the match.
...Scorer and time will normally be taken from the BBC Sport website but we will use other sources if the BBC does not report a time for this competition’s first qualifying goal.
...In the case of any duplicate correct guess being made, the winner will be the earliest correct/nearest guess posted.
...In the event of 2 guesses being the same amount of time either side of the actual figure, the lower time will win.
...Our decision is final.
...Make sure no-one else has already taken your selections because, if two or more people select an identical winning combination, the earliest one posted will count.
...If no player scores or there are only own goals or no-one selects the first scorer, the prize is held over for another time.
...Guesses of 'no goals' or similar will be virtually shredded.
It's a 12:30 pm kick-off on Saturday, July 25th. Please get your entry in before the match kicks-off, otherwise it will be ignored.
There have been several wasted entries in previous competitions when people chose players & times already selected so please check before posting your guess.
If you think Lewis Allan will score first, as opposed to Scott Allan, please indicate this by typing his first name or initial as well as surname. Otherwise we'll assume you mean Scott if you only type 'Allan'.
Good luck!
