Exactly my thoughts initially. However I'd be hoping forster can oust hanlon over the course of the season.
Boyle on the bench for crane too.

Totally forgot about Boyler  although I have to say I very high hopes for Crane this coming season.
Forster is a very good centre half but I fear his chances may be limited if we persist with four at the back. It's a shame because I think it may hurt his development.
Great for the club to have three strong centre halves.

Nobody in the 442 midfield can tackle. No room for last season's league top scorer in any line up-amazing.

Was just about to say that, Cummings will start on Saturday.

Still thing Cummings is key but a little less pressure and more competition will do him the world of good.

Oxley
Gray Hanlon Fontaine Stevenson
Bartley
Fyvie Allan
carmichael
Cummings Malonga
(4-3-3)
Oxley
Gray Hanlon Fontaine Stevenson
Fyvie Bartley Allan
Boyle Keating Malonga
(5-3-2)
Oxley
Gray Forster Hanlon Fontaine Stevenson
Fyvie Bartley Allan
Cummings Malonga
Depending on formation Cummings, Keatings, Malonga and Farid will all battle for positions
Carmichael and Boyle give us a good option to change shape.
Not enough Competition in midfield unless the fringe player are going to step up.

Pretty sure I saw Fyvie do his fair share of tackling last season
