Early day motion put down in the House of Commons to honour Hibernian's 140th anniversary :aok:

http://www.parliament.uk/edm/2015-16/343

"That this House congratulates Hibernian Football Club on the forthcoming 140th anniversary of the founding of the club on 6 August; recognises the important part that many football clubs play within their communities and in particular notes the historic and important part that Hibernian has played in Leith, Edinburgh and beyond; further recognises the pioneering role that Hibernian has shown over the decades and in particular playing a trail blazing role by being the first British club to appear in European competition in 1955 when it reached the European Cup semi-final; and looks forward to Hibernian remaining at the forefront of Scottish football for many years to come".
