Why the confusion. Lewis has kept his 16. No one else has been given it. Simples!

Might of been?? Might not of been!

Think that's a question only Stubbs can answer?? We might find out in the next week??

no number 3

I'll play left back Stubbsy, if you're reading the forum. Think Paolo Maldini, only a bit better.

Squad numbers can change at any point. He could leave tomorrow and we could have a new number 11 on Sunday.

FWIW I'd like to see Stanton (another year older and wiser) given another go.

Maybe he's looking for more of a Roberto Carlos type left back? If that's the case just give me a call :greengrin

*I'll need subbed after 2 mins though due to lack of fitness

I think AS has missed on both of us then. I'm thinking of bobby Moore for a player of similar ability to myself. 😉

Alex Harris squad number 33.

Taking over from Earl Jean.

If my memory serves me correctly :greengrin

Maybe he likes that number.

Jordan and 23. :dunno:

Hopefully recognition for his growing stature at the club. Still raw but getting better and better in my opinion. Beyond his talent, I love his commitment and tenacious style.

Unsung hero in the making.

Doesn't really explain why he'd move back to a less prestigious squad number though does it

I predicted we'd use these numbers yesterday.

23 is a pretty prestigious number these days after Beckham took it as it was Michael Jordan's.

And Sean Monahan for those with an NHL interest ;)

Hopefully Harris plays like he did when he was previously no. 33!

A wee lad in from of me today, bought the new purple strip, with Forster 6 on it. Hibs should have released these before this morning's strip launch

Maybe he's superstitious. He was unlucky with injuries while wearing the number 6.

Scott Allan certainly will definitely suit the number 10 jersey for Hibs.

James.

23 = Michael Jordan and LeBron James :aok:

plus Alen Orman! :greengrin

Can't see him being too happy with this, think his Twitter account ends in a 6. But at the end of the day, it's just a number

I can verify this as actual factual as I was there when he predicted it.

Interesting.

Surprised malonga got 7 and not Carmichael.

Jordon And Alex changing back to the numbers when they first broke through. Might be physiological but can't see either of them, especially Forster, giving up there number.

And Danny moving down to number 14, weird.

I would think they won't be in starting line up ,but may be on the bench ,so you would assume they will have numbers attributed to them ,but if we have more squad players still to sign ,maybe they have to get first pick ,so the youngsters may have to bide their time .
Against Berwick the players all played with no number so be interesting if they have numbers against Dunfermline as you would think they would all get a run out again near the end so if you are at game you will know what number they have ,given the club have now announced them .

But agree the wee guy that bought one and had Fosters name and number on back should get a new one with right number on it

Did you actually predict the numbers or were you exclusively told them by a trusted source close to the club? Either would be mightily impressive, tbh.

I'm guessing Forster took the number 6 last season because Stubbs asked him to and there was no one else willing to take or wanting it. Now that there's someone who either wanted it or was happy to take it in Bartley, Forster was happy to return to 23... least that's what I'm hoping

Do their development squad numbers differ from their first team numbers? Last I checked Allan was 49 & Martin was 48

That's the numbers I see when you click on the first team page on the website. Development squad numbers haven't been updated from last year by the looks of it.

So... 19 first team squad players, one of whom is already out on a long term injury.

Even if we sign 2 more seniors, it really is time for some of the other development squad players to force their way into contention.

They have been, most of the development squad's numbers were in the 30s last season

I don't know if they've just not bothered to change Allan and Martin's or they were meant to remove them from the first team page but forgot

I don't normally for stuff like numbers but I'm happy to see Allan with number 10. It's not a big thing but I think depending on wether an attacker or a defender your best player wears 4 or 10.

The only entity that still aknowledges the 2012 final is the support. You can foolishly give it gravity by referring to it as "that day" or "that final" or you can see it for what it is...a cup final a bunch of heartless loanees and wage thieves lost to a bunch of cheats.

If there is anyone at the club who is afraid of the number 15 then they should leave. Immediately.

We may feel cheated by their incompetence or lack of commitment, but I don't think any of our players deliberately set out to ensure that we lost.

Thomson did just that that from the moment that he ignored Black's forearm smash on Griffiths, and the penalty for an incident that was clearly outside the box was simply the most obvious evidence.

nah, I don't believe that - had an appealing game , made very bad decisions...and time has proved him to largely to be poor referee....I'm not one who believe he cheated..

Why the **** has a thread confirming the squad numbers for the 2015/2016 season descended into talking about a game from 2012?
