Aberdeen game about to kick off on premier sports if anyone's interested.

Never knew I had this channel, what other games will they show this season?

He did, after arguing with Stefan Johansen over who should take it.

Considering the population of Inverness and their average home crowd that's not bad.

Exactly.. Why do people think its a bad crowd? I actually admire a club that isn't obsessed with attendences but just live within their circumstances.

Don't know their biggest ever crowd, but they got 6600 v Celtic last season(yes no doubt a bucket load of Orcs were involved)
But sorry, they should have had a bigger crowdfor this game

As a percentage of the population it's equivalent to Hibs getting about 17000 for a Euro tie.

We'd be happy with that.

It's hard to make a comparison because we have a decent European heritage with crowds that reflected that at the time.

If our first European tie was now, in a trophy that has been somewhat devalued, that we have no chance of winning and in rounds that are essentially a tarted up version of the Intertoto Cup then I'd say 17K wouldn't be far off the mark.

Did not see that Aberdeen score coming! Very good result against a side who last season beat Standard Liege, Feyenoord and drew with eventual winners Sevilla. Derek McInnes seems like he's building a good sheep side.

Sorry but it's a piss poor crowd for ICT. The merger of clubs has not been accepted. As for the population argument v attendance, surely you have take on board there's no pro team south of them for 110 miles. The reality is it's a nonentity of a club but also shows how poor Hibs are due to the fact they have been a better run and more successful club than us. The shame of this lies at Petrie's door

Yeah but how many fans within that 110 miles could get to or get back from Inverness on a Thursdsay night? The rail service is a joke after 6pm up there and you can't get nowhere never mind at 10pm. They also have a lot of fans living in the central belt who would have had no chance of getting home from the game after having to take the day off work to get there.
I think its a good enough effort from them.

Aberdeen likely to travel to Kazakhstan in the next round.

If Caley can win next week they'll play West Ham.

You can't just invent fans from nowhere though. They are doing a great job of developing a club with a sense of identity and have achieved a hell of a lot over the last few years. In fact, they are years, if not decades, ahead of schedule for a new club so for me that crowd is not too shabby IMO. Whether they can sustain the level they are currently at is another question but good luck to them.

I agree that Hibs should be ashamed at the relative fortunes of the clubs though.
