Danny Ings is only 22. He's had a tough newspaper round.

I remember someone saying we were after the boy that started for England in centre mid - Jake Forster caskey

Was about 1.5-2 years ago if I remember right, most likely a load of rubbish

Defending seems to be a lost art in England.

No wonder they have to import talent, if this is the best they can muster

Wonder whose head will roll after this? build a new school of excellence perhaps and continue to blow their own trumpets on Sky Sports News then make the usual excuses, perhaps if they could possibly take a defeat without all the deep analysis and admit that in reality they're no very good.

No.

What's your point caller ?

I think the point is we are in an even worse state than them.

We are ahead in learning from our mistakes tho... England are a generation away from creating world class players again. Youth teams in England still allow goal keepers to kick from hand.

Are Scotland further ahead than England at producing a World Class player?

The english meedya is as deluded as hertz fans.A 1-0 over sweden and their favourites for the whole tourney. On paper engerland should be achieving a lot more at all levels of football but for whatever reason they just dont produce in the tournaments.Players like rooney, wilshere, hart etc should have achieved more but just dont cut it where it matters, thankfully.

Mark Lawrenson and Harry Redknapp are spot on, young players get far too much money too soon. Sterling, Shaw, Berinho (injured) Oxelaide Chamberlain were all missing, playing for your country for these guys doesn't mean heehaw anymore sadly. English media do hype up the players, but I have seen the Scottish do the same in recent times. EM can be nauseating but the big team qualifies for a tournament then why shouldn't everyone believe they are going to win it, no point being there otherwise

Sweden v Portugal on BT Sport. 0-0 after 85 minutes.

Looks like it's going to extra time. Could be a good 30 minutes.

He has only played in the 2014 world cup and it certainly wasn't his fault for England being poor.

Read the post you quoted. Seems you're not sure how to spell his name?

He's still vastly overrated however you want to spell it.

He's still vastly overrated however you want to spell it.My mistake, misread.

He isn't vastly overrated though, just injury prone. He is absolutely fantastic when fit, especially for England. MOTM in 7 of their last 8 games.

Have to agree that on his game Wilshere is a very very good player but unfortunately he is rather injury prone. A fully fit Wilshere is as good as any midfielder in England IMO.
