Of the signings so far, I'd hinder a guess at either Allan or Keatings, maybe Malonga?

Malonga would be comfortable there, Allan tends to sit a bit deeper but Carmichael played that role for QOS.

I may be wrong but I think they mean who literally is going to be our number 10, not who is going to play the 'no.10' position - Craig never really played this position for us anyway.

That's certainly how I read it. I'd suggest Allan but he was also 20 at DUFC so maybe he's quite happy with that.

He was (eventually, after many prophetic Nostradamus like GENIUSES said it should happen :greengrin) brought in to the team and I suspect by that time, he had limited numbering options left....he may even have had that number in the U20's.

NB if I was giving the 10 to someone in deserve of it, there's nobody since Riordan. Though if you made me pick a 10 in this team, I'd give it to Cummings. He's a young laddie. He'll make mistakes. He does make mistakes. He also scores LOTS of ****ing goals and more than anyone else last season. In fact, the similarities are striking <<< Ye see what I Done there :greengrin

He was given squad number 35 in 2013/14, and kept it in 2014/15 after he became a first team regular.

I reckon he'll probably keep 35 while he's here.
