He's spoken to Police Scotland and the SPFL and they have assured him that its impossible to hear any banned sectarian hate songs as they and the Scottish parliament sorted it all out ages ago, welcome to cosmopolitan enlightened Govan.

So that just leaves him to deal with the doughnuts.

The new appointment lets them feel good about themselves for a day.

No doubt the Rangers will hope that Davie Weir will help his gaffer settle in - but no doubt also that they have a big job ahead of them.

Absolutely imperative that we prepare well and have a strong start next season.

I've listened to this bloke a few times now on the radio and my opinion is he's a complete bull**** artist.

A couple of weeks ago he was asked what his style of play was :- "I haven't really got a style of play, I'll do whatever it takes to win a game and if that means resorting to lumping the ball forward then that's what I'll do"

Today apparently "if anyone is expecting long ball football then I suggest they go to another game"

Last Monday :- "Yes I've had formal talks with Rangers"

Thursday :- "I've had formal talks with two clubs but out of respect for the managers that may still be in place I wont name the clubs"

All very Terry Buthcherish - hopefully he will shortly announce that he likes to remove the fear of going behind early by conceding the first goal.

Thought he did okay with quite a lot of inherited players at the Bees but would be great if he turned out to be a motormouth with not much to bring to the hatefest that is the rangers - might have been as well to stick with fat sally if they wanted someone who does sound bites, however random.

He made his money by working for years in The City in London. So pretty much confirms he's a complete ****.

The most enjoyable yet cringeworthy moment of Warburton's day came when he was introduced to the media at Ibrox. The Sevco guy said "Please give a big welcome to Rangers new manager, Mark Warburton." Camera pans to the door opening, some sort of confusion at the doorway and in walks Warburton to a huge round of ............ total silence. You could hear pin drop. :faf:

Warburton's achievements at Brentford shouldn't be dismissed - I suspect he's a decent coach.

Interestingly Stubbs was appointed on 24th June 2014 - about a week later in the pre season than Warburton.

With loads of players out of contract too the parallels with us last year are clear. So let's hope we're out of sight by the time Sevco get going...

McLeish is quoted on Radio Scotland saying he is very impressed by Warburton's time at Sevco so far. That beggars belief. The guy's been there for five minutes and hasn't even had his shoes off. It's an indication of the Bluenoses closing ranks and pushing a positive spin.

Hard to predict how he will do but unless he gets some decent players in he will be second at best. Other teams will still raise their game against us and the current buns. Brentford ran out of steam towards the end of the season as maybe other teams Worked out how to beat them. I'm sure Stubbs contacts will have him fully versed in how they played. Let's see who they sign before making any prediction of how things will pan out. Once we are sure Scott Allan will be here and we have a decent goalie then I'll be happy to say we'll finish first(depending of course on who they sign).
