Just to let you know Hibs fit fans won the inaugural Scottish walking football championship which was held at Spartans yesterday, we played 7 section games winning 6 and drawing 1 scoring 23 goals and conceding 2 in the semi we won a sudden death penalty shoot out after a 0-0 draw and tucked Glasgow city away 2-1 n the final.

An honorable mention must go to the Hibernian Healthy Hibbies who just missed out on a semi final place on goal difference having also gone through the day undefeated

Is it easy to walk, or do you get the temptation to burst into a jog? Are there penalties/fouls given for not walking?

It's hard mate you are tempted to try and run, but if you ask Scott or Josh the will say l have been playing walking football for years. :greengrin And a foul gets awarded if you run/jog.

The Midlothian team that lost the semi final on
Penalties wore the lilac Hibs strips which were kindly provided by the Hibs community foundation.
Midlothian were also unbeaten and never conceded a goal until the penalty shoot out.
Great day out. Teams from Newcastle, Inverness, glasgow, Dundee, Ayr, Stenhousemuir and Annan.

If they start a league it could be sponsored by Walker's crisps or Johnny Walkers. Well done the FFiT lads :aok:
