Are we going to get a Glamour pre-season game at Easter Road?

I know, we used to quite often get a bigger Prem club coming up.

Would have thought Stubbs would have a few contacts.

Hibernian FC today confirmed a number of pre-season fixtures.
The Club will play:

At Dunfermline Athletic on July 18th, kick off 3pm
At Ayr United on July 21st, kick off 7.45pm

All of the games will be pay at the gate.
Further pre-season training is being scheduled, and the Club will let supporters know once any further fixtures are confirmed.

"Ex @celticfc defender David Moyes will bring @RealSociedad to Scotland to face his former club http://t.co/ExFPQEj1eV http://t.co/BSmvACK9T5"

If Moyes is bringing sociedad to play Celtic there must be a decent chance Stubbs will have a word with him about playing us.

The reason why I said Everton is because Stubbs has connections with them and I won't be surprised if he's had a word with Martinez about a potential friendly.

Would rather aim to have a good pre season and get everyone fit than have some glamour friendly. Giving some hammerings to lower placed sides and getting confidence and fitness should be the aim.

:agree:

We should be going away to junior and Lowland League clubs, not getting hammered at home by some Premier League team.

I always start my Football Manager pre seasons away to the smallest reputation clubs I can find. An 8-0 win does wonders for confidence. :greengrin

Bring back the tours of the Highland League. They were good enough for Eddie Turnbull.

I agree although it would make financial sense to get Newcastle to Easter Road for example. Tranent Juniors away anyone?

Eddie quite liked a pre-season tour of Ireland too.

It would be nice to see a bigger name or two in our friendly schedule.
