Another long trip midweek if it goes ahead. Ayr on a Tuesday as well. How about about a decent away day on a Saturday.

How many times have we played Dunfermline or Berwick pre season over the last few years? A bit of variety wouldn't go amiss.

Would be nice to have a home game. We've got a few new players who need to have a game or two at home before the league season starts

Good news for me as I am in Dunbar and it is just down the road from me. Selfish I know but hey-ho. :greengrin

Last train to Edinburgh from Berwick is at 22:39 so time for a pint after the game.

Maybe no auld but I am definitely grumpy, delighted with this fixture though. Don't normally do pre-season games but always go to Berwick to give money to the club and their local (to Dunbar) owner.

Berwick is OK, but its not exactly a trip away. C'mon Hibs .... there's no European football on the cards for the foreseeable future, at least give us a trip to deepest darkest Engerlund.

Balls, Somerset Park is probably my favourite football ground but won't be able to make it along to Ayr.

Just the midweek game at Blackpool a few years ago I think (after the season started as well). And Berwick, of course

From Berwick :

The club can confirm that admission fees for our friendlies against Premier League Kilmarnock (Saturday, 11th July) and Championship Hibernian (Tuesday, 14th July) have now been set as £10 for Adults and £5 for Concessions (seated or standing).

Of course, fans who wish to watch these games in style can do so with specially discounted corporate rates throughout pre-season.

Seats in the box (pending availability) for Saturday’s tie with Killie are available for just £15, whilst prices are only slightly higher for the following midweek game against Hibernian (£20).

To book your place in the Sponsors Lounge, please contact our commercial director Conrad Turner on 07790 676185.

Berwick have produced to programme that covers their 4 pre season friendlies. One of the features is a look back at a previous match on 31 Jan. 1981 between them and us. Mentions debutant Ian Hendry breaking his leg after 15 seconds, I always thought it was lot quicker than that. Must be the shortest ever Hibs career.

Remember it for the ridiculous OTT policing and the fence collapsing. Police dogs being allowed to bite anyone going past, ********.

That was a cup-tie. Different game. 79/80. The Ian Hendry game was in the old First Division 80/81.

It's the only friendly I can go to ,so me and my son will be heading down to it .its to be a nice day ,and hoping the kiss rumours are true ,and he may get a run out ,but if not you would think there would a new Trialist on show ,given we are looking to bring in two players minimum ,assuming Watson can strike a deal that both sides are happy with
