I see on the BBC website that several law firms have been on twitter looking for business from the victims of the Alton Towers accident. They have removed their tweets and apologised following complaints.
I trust the decent folk in this world will note the names of these ambulamce chasers and treat them with the contempt they deserve.

Depending on exactly how they went about it, they would also be likely to be in breach of professional standards and will have been reported to the Ombudsman.

I was at a conference recently and they said that there are approximately 1,500 Accident Management Companies in the UK, but only around 30 of them were in Scotland.

Certain parts of England and Wales are rife with fraudulent claims, staged incidents and just general fraud.

I seen a tweet about one company, it's a statement saying it was a junior member of staff and they would be dealing with it. The person should be sacked! The tweet said "been in a roller coaster accident recently? Contact us to make a claim" sick person to even think that!
