Ladbrokes have the Rangers at 10/11 to win the title, we are at an extremely generous price of 11/5. Had a look at the Premier League and the **** are 3rd favourites albeit at 50/1

Celtic will win the Premier again, so betting on anybody else is akin to setting fire to your stake, but the yams will have more spending power than anyone other than Celtic and Aberdeen ( as i assume they'll not be diverting season ticket receipts to repair their death trap of a stadium) so that probably accounts for them being third favourites.

I think Budge said recently that they won't be buying any new players.

No way yams are 3rd favs. Bottom six and can see them getting sucked into the relegation dogfight.

I assume we are second favourites to win the league? It will be interesting to see what happens with the Rangers over summer but there's no doubt that massive changes are needed at ibrox. They risk having a similar start to us last year if they leave it too long to make these changes. Of course they may just buy the league and that's what the bookies are praying for.

Personally think they'll be mid table, don't think there's any chance of relegation - too many poor teams in that league.

Nah no chance, hearts are always pretty strong at home so will win enough games to be a top 6 team next season

That was a motherwell team fighting for their life's though. Hearts will finish between places 5-8.

Nearer relegation than 3rd favs is all i'm saying.

I'd have a few quid on us now, only I reckon our odds will lengthen when the rangers get a manager/keeper/2fullbacks/2centre halves/4 midfielders/3 strikers and a partridge in a pear tree.

Does that include when they got relegated three times in 1977, 1979 and 1981, only coming back up to the Premier league in 1983 as runners up to St Johnstone?

Wouldn't it be funny if they went back down again next season?

11/5 9/4 Could look on the short side if The Rangers spend wisely. Their wage budget is far greater than ours and if they spend it wisely this time around they will be tough opponents this season. There is no way that they will be as poor a side this season.

Hibs are 5/2 with skybet (according to Oddschecker).

Unfortunately I don't think they will be anywhere near relegation. Don't think they will be anywhere near third either mind you. I think Neilson will get found out this year.

Never get value on these markets as anything could happen throughout the season. Best left alone in my eyes

I'd say that 10/11 is short for a totally unknown quantity.

As you say, if they get their act together and throw money at their team they will be strong, strong favourites.

There aren't many signs at the moment that they are going to though and they could just as easily mess the whole thing up. Again.
