Only seen 1 reply at the time - and looked fairly cut and dry as being a hand ball....with Malonga close by?

Anyone see it again to confirm?

Interestingly - at the time of the games 1st booking (to us, naturally)...the foul count was 4 made by us, 15 by Rangers (possibly split between Zal and Vukic!)

Never a pen. Did you not post on match thread and several others confirmed no pen either?

No

Haven't seen any replays myself but I got a text from a relative who was watching the game (and a neutral) who confirmed it should have been a penalty.

No chance.

Shiels was trying to hoof the ball clear when it hit his arm, so it was clearly an accident. Had that been given at the other end we'd be raging and rightfully so.

At the time I screamed for a penalty although it never was one, as did many others - the ball hit his hand but never intentional.

so we agree its the type of thing, that would have been given against Paul Hanlon at the other end? :greengrin

In all seriousness though - it probably would be.

You were misled.

Probably would have been given against us though.
