I like that we've got a collar again for a wee change. It's a great shade of green, white sleeves and a massive improvement on the look of the sponsor. What's not to like??

My only critique is that I'd rather it were a slightly lighter shade of green. We've had a lot of dark green strips recently. Still, it's quite decent.

The more I look at it, the design is nice and I like the collar and white sleeves.

Still can't get past the dark green though. Not a nice shade of green.

Don't mind the dark green but they should try and match the green on the badge to the green on the shirt.

Glad its a Hibs top this year, though and not that all green nonsense.

I like the simplicity, the colour and the fact that they've managed to talk the sponsors into toning down their logo (that wouldn't have been easy IMO) .

I would have preferred green socks though.

I think this preview is in response to complaints on here that we are always slow to release our kits, which is true to be fair. It's good that they have done this though.

I don't like these darker shades of green, it doesn't really look like a Hibs green to me.

Having said that, it's a million times better than last year's abomination. The return to white sleeves was an obvious must but it's also good that there isn't a big ugly red sponsor in the middle of it. As Peevemor said I don't think it would have been easy for the club to negotiate that with Marathonbet, so all credit to the club for getting that sorted. It looks much, much better in white.

I said on other thread about hoping they would change the sponsor style like the did with Whyte and Mackay and I'm glad the did. Makes the strip more appealing. I still think this season's one would have looked much better had it not been for the ridiculous sponsor they had on it. Happy with this effort.

I tend to associate the slightly darker green with Hibs. Maybe it depends on the first strips you were aware of?

What an utterly ludicrous post.
Please read carefully before branding statements as ludicrous - I did not say the kit looks gay, I said the collar looks gay.
That's my considered opinion (I believe that's still allowed on here right?), for me the collar spoils the kit - Colour - fine, logo (much better design) - fine, white sleeves fine - collar NOOOOO!!!!!
I have an old BUKTA shirt (the one with George Best's signature) which has a similar collar so I am not against this type of collar per se but it seems to suit that shirt better, maybe cos it has long sleeves?

Anyway, the other posters on this thread seem to like the new shirt so the fact that I won't be buying one will go completely unnoticed.

I respect your opinion that you don't like the collar, that's fair, but is 'gay' the most considered opinion you could come up with for a white collar on a football shirt?...

I'm sure it will grow on a lot of the doubters :flag:

First impressions - really like it. Much MUCH better than this seasons (wasn't gonna take much to be though).

The sponsors logo is a million times better. I initially was so so on the collar, but I think it's because its a closed collar in the pictures. I picture wearing it button opened like this years white, and it eases my concerns.

The only thing that would have made it absolutely superb all round would have been as many others have mentioned........a lighter shade of green!!

How can something look gay? I thought most people grew out of using sexual orientation as a criticism after primary school. You're welcome to have an opinion, of course, but that statement is ridiculous, as the other poster highlighted.

"it's not the right green" you got to love us Hibs fans, your Hibs green is a bit like your favourite team/player it depends what you grew up with, for me as long as it's within a certain bracket of the green spectrum, not luminous lime green etc, it's fine, it all reminds me of my wife having a go at me because I'd got the wrong colour "white" paint!!

There is a pre book the 'junior' jersey but no idea how small they go. I have a 3 year old will be getting it for him.

Also, since when did it become custom to not print the sponsors on the junior kits? I know alcohol was banned, I suppose betting also falls under that category?

:agree: Was the same last year. Kind of annoying as my nephew, aged 7, wants to wear what the players wear but he has to make do with the blank top. Doesn't look right.

Always a danger that larger teenagers will be advertising gambling illegally with relatively small largest boys size.

I agree. Defo think there should be scope for adult kits without the sponsor. Don't know if its age or the beer belly but I tend to buy polo shirts, if shirts were available without sponsors I'd maybe buy them (would also depend on what the shirt looked like).
