Forfar won 3-1 tonight. Looks like if we stay down here next year we won't be going to Alloa again.

Can't say I would miss going to Alloa but would Forfar be any better?

Plus, it's much further for most fans as well.

No Sky so watched some of this on Alba. Poor quality on another dodgy plastic pitch. Another season in the Championship is not a happy prospect.

At least 2 decent away days next season if we don't go up.

hopefully Alloa triumph in the 2nd leg, Forfar is a heck of a distance just to get a Bridie

Thankfully my second (parents') home and adopted hometown is Carnoustie so won't be much trouble for me. :greengrin

Can someone explain how Alloa have played Brechin & Forfar in the play-offs? I thought the team finishing 2nd bottom only had to play the winner of 2nd/3rd/4th from the league below.

That's only for the top flight/Championship play-off. All the others are 9th v 4th and 2nd v 3rd, with the winners facing off against each other. I assume that the reason the Premiership and Championship games are different is because of when the respective seasons end - the top flight three weeks after the second, third and fourth tiers.

Correct. The reason it's different is that it's slanted to give the Premiership side the advantage. No joking by the way.

Shame. Quite enjoyed the £2 pints in the Wetherspoons in Alloa.

Forfar is five minutes from here but would still rather be promoted. I have refereed on the artificial pitch many times and I like it. It is of a good quality and haven't seen any injuries caused by it.
