A very interesting, sometimes amusing, speech from Lord Ashcroft.

Jim Murphy is relying on Tories to vote Labour to save his skin. That's why they switched from any pretence at attracting back Yes voters to banging on an on about indyref2.

Lab were up in my leafy Edin suburb at the weekend, first time I've ever seen them canvas here. They didn't chap my door (not sure how they knew to have me on their blacklist, but fair play) but the schtick they gave my neighbour was all "please vote for us to stop the SNP".

And a worthy cause it is too.

Could anyone explain that to me? I've heard a few Tory supporters saying they're voting Labour to stop the snp. Surely the only way snp can do anything in Westminster is through a Labour-snp coalition?

If anything more Labour seats in Scotland gives them a better chance of getting the most seats and first shot at a coalition- and hence a higher chance of a Labour-snp coalition?

Or have I totally missed the point?

Nope, you're spot on.

It's mental.

Scottish Labour want to be getting Davidson to the front and centre.

First person connected with Labour in Scotland who seems willing to tell it like it is.
