Getting to that time of the season again, anybody know or seen any nmock ups of what our kit could look like next year? Keep the bottle green or go back to green and white?

Didn't come out until the summer last year.
It's nailed on to be back to green with white sleeves.
Possible harp badge as well?
Club need a big seller. How long does Nike deal have to run? The stuff is rubbish.

PLLLEEAASSEE,no BOTTLE green.

Not sure we have any choice looking at that link. It only seems to say court green (bottle green), action green (Limey green), electric green (fluorescent green).

As for designs it seems the only ones we can get to keep it semi traditional is the victory 2 (Dundee Utd this year) or Derby Park (white sleeves and underarm/sides). There is the Trophy 2 (white sleeves and 2 green hoops on the sleeves) but that one says it's not available in green!?

What a horrible selection of kits, no wonder we ditched the white sleeves last year.

If that is the case then I can only assume that we will have a different sponsor.

I can't imagine that anyone with any marketing experience could be "very sure" that a strip with that sponsor would be popular.

Before anyone points out that we always need to go with whoever pays the most money, I realise that it is a trade of between this fact and taking into account how many Hibs think they will sell. I simply think that it is impossible to produce a smart (green) strip with that logo.

Yes, he did..... Anyway, the St. Pat's branch committee approached Hibs last year about a possible top to mark the anniversary and the club agreed. This put me off buying the shirt this year

No problem with online betting or marathon, but could we work with them to incorporate it into the shirt?

Like we did with whyte & Mackay, first season was the big blue box, second was just the name in white - much better

Like that along with the Werder Bremen top

I also find it strange clubs expect to make money from shirt sales and there is very little (if any) with the market they are actually selling to.

Surely a bit of research to what the fans like and want would make more money for the club?

The away top...I like white - fresh and classy look. Though if it has to be any other colour green and purple like the Bristol City away posted earlier. Though it may clash with others...where as white didn't except Celtic.

What I mean is...Hibs surely see this as a money maker yet they don't consult fans.

The bigger clubs in the world will sell shirts I am sure with some market research and basically being relatively successful will sell shirts.

Obviously I know the income a single player can have on shirt sales - like Bale / Ronaldo / Beckham in America etc.

Can any of the Lets Work Together guys confirm if discussions ever take place about kit design? Is it just a case of Nike or whoever slapping a few designs in front of the board and saying "take your pick" or do the club put suggestions forward? As someone mentioned earlier, this debate pops up every year and it always contains a number of good suggestions which are inevitably better than what we end up with. The club should be tapping into this.

New Werder Bremens Hibs style strip.14865

IMO the home strip should never have white shoulders, a v-neck or a folded collar and should always stay along the lines of the 60/70's kit with a round white collar and white sleeves. Let the club tinker with the away kit design & colour as much as they want but leave the home kit well alone!

The blatantly poor attempt to pass off this season's hideous home top as anything to do with the Famous Five was a terrible affront to their memory! A poor and ill thought decision by the club in an attempt to sell cheap sub-standard template designs at over inflated prices was disgraceful.

I know you can never please everyone when it comes to kit design and I'm maybe just overly old fashioned / sentimental when it comes to our home strip but why change perfection?

I'm quite surprised Leanne hasn't been interacting with fans regarding the new strip. Can only think they believe they're on to a sure thing. fingers crosseD anyway, I've not bought a home top in years.

Given what happened last year I'd expect the release to be shortly after the photo shoot.

I'd also hope they've listened to the fans and put it on sale earlier than normal.

This. In good time for Summer holidays. A trick was missed last year.

Mocked up a few kits. Home, away and third for the hell of it. Of course, now I see the posts suggesting that the new kit has already been signed off. Not all of these are Nike / Avec templates, but I see Hearts managed to get a non-template design for their kits (even though you wouldn't guess it by looking at them).

It's fine, I've made a mockup of the worst possible kit we could bet, so we'll all be ok with the end product when it's neither spectacular nor god-awful. :greengrin

On the sleeves of the alternative kit, would the bands stay where they are like Arsenal's last Nike home kit for long sleeves? Or would they stay as cuffs on long sleeved?

Agreed. I loved our purple kits and it's been years since we had one. The green and purple striped calor gas top is my favourite away top we've ever had.

ManBearPig

I think if that green and purple striped top was released basically identical we would struggle to meet demand

Diclonius
18-05-2015, 08:43 AM
I would rather we just released a purple and white away kit that was identical to our home kit in terms of design (purple shirt, white sleeves, white shorts) or with the colours reversed (white shirt, purple sleeves, purple shorts).

Hoping someone will release the pictures of the new kit on Twitter today so we can all be very disappointed.

This is the key. Our colour scheme has drifted towards green, white and black and until that's fundamentally changed then purple won't feature much.

I watched that documentary made in the mid nineties and purple was everywhere. It's our club and maybe all the board need to know is that the demand is really there.

Purple or black?...or bottle green??
