5:30pm is a hellish kickoff time for travelling fans away to Queen of the South. Likewise, wouldn't fancy going to Palmerston/Ibrox at 7:45. Other times I can't complain about.

Yip

Diclonius
28-04-2015, 04:27 PM
So they've changed the dates?

Yes.

Whoever finishes 2nd now has to wait 2 and a half weeks after the end of the season for their first playoff game, and the quarter final winner is at an advantage as they have an extra half week rest time between the 1st and 2nd leg of the playoff.

Funny how these new dates were only confirmed after Rangers became not favourites for finishing 2nd..

They announce dates and I plan around them all, now it doesn't work out. What a joke

With a noon kick off theve got some cheek if they complain about clubs letting season ticket holders in for free, especially considering they supposedly sold the rights off cheap for such a prime kick off spot.

On the positive side, assuming we finish second, the time delay means that David Gray has extra time to be fully fit.

I have no doubt that some behind closed doors games will be arranged to maintain sharpness.

What we do know is the 9th and 31st we would be away - obviously 9th won't matter if we come 2nd.

If we could 2nd - 20th we would be away..could be midweek away to Sevco.

Been at work, so just digesting this now. What a joke, 2 and a half week layoff for the 2nd placed team, then possibly 4 games in 12 days

Maybe we won't want to finish in 2nd, as the winners of 4th v 3rd will be a bit more match fit. Wonder who we'll be able to have friendlies against in May?

Get what you're saying but I'd still rather finish second. They won't lose that much sharpness in a couple of weeks as long as their training is good. Let's any knocks clear up as well.

More importantly you're already starting one step closer to promotion.

Not much different than having an international break. Keep it tight in the first leg and then the 2nd leg at home, the other side will be playing their 3rd game in 6 days

Then us having to play 17th then 20th and 23rd against a fresh rangers team would be the pro-rangers bias to complain about.

So QOS or The Gers will have to play 3 games in 7 days:
17th 20th & 23rd. Hopefully by time we get to ER on 23rd that will be an advantage.

All going well for us we play 20th 23rd 28th 31st. Quite punchy schedule.

I'm up at Blair Atholl weekend of 23rd so no danger of being at game.

Long shot but anyone know of BT Sport pubs in that area?

Might need to be Pitlochry?

Looks that way. Rail replacement buses between Carlisle and Edinburgh which take 2 hours 50 minutes rather than the usual 1 hour 20.
