Any idea if they are getting nearer to a return to action?

Hopefully sooner particularly in Gray's case. Missed him hugely in the semi final IMO.

Stubbs said a week ago or so, that Watson was nearer a return than Gray

Yes think I saw that also. Pretty sure they said Gray would be out for four weeks when he got injured. Wonder if that was 4 weeks to playing or 4 weeks before resuming training.

Just checked and his injury was reported on 2nd April so hopefully he is able to play a part in the play off games.

This was AS quote at the time:

“We’re waiting on results of the scan but I’d say it’s a substantial one, three or four weeks. It was an innocuous thing. He’ll miss the foreseeable future games but will hopefully be back towards end of the season.”

Falkirk away on astro, is hardly ideal after a hamstring injury

Both are quite close I've heard.

I am 100% convinced we would have beaten Falkirk had Gray played at RWB and McGeough in centre mid. So frustrating still

Good to hear that, development league game on Tuesday, if one or other is ready to play.
On your last point I agree, and an on form Malaonga as well.

Not the first time we've had key people missing for a Cup semi final either.

Wouldnt play him in that game. Keep him for the play offs.

I don't think we'll see Gray again until the play off matches.

No idea about Watson.

Falkirk also had some players missing that they would argue would of strengthened them .Bottom line is with our squad we should still of been able to rise to the occasion and beat them IMO

I'm told it's unlikely that either will be back in the next couplebof weeks.

Did you not say on many occasions, that Farid wouldn't play again this season

Yep and he's certainly nowhere near fit-he can hardly jump for a ball.

Apart from winning just about every header in the Derby, you mean? :greengrin

Don't agree with that, in fact I would say his presence in the air is the one thing which has really impressed me since he came back.

He was unbelievable in the air against Hearts, such a shame he couldn't reproduce it against Falkirk

Yeah the Falkirk game was a bit of a disappointment but he was winning a number of headers again last night.

The problem weve had since he came back is the other players have started lumping it up to him more and more, which isnt particularly effective. Its not his fault, but he is good in the air and we should be making better use of that in more dangerous positions.

We have missed Gray. Not so much Watson, as he has been a bit stop-start.

That was Gray. I have no info on Watson but I thought by the time he missed the semi through cup tied and the league match through suspension he would be fit.

Would imagine it would take him approx 2 weeks or so to get back to being ready to play.

Maybe first play off game if we are in 3rd and 4th game.
